Somewhere along the way, capturing a moment turned into a whole production. Unlock the phone. Find the app. Wait for it to load. Frame it up. And by the time you're ready — the moment's already walked out of the room.

KICKFRAME started with a simple, slightly stubborn idea: what if the camera never left your side? Not buried in a bag. Not another thing to remember to bring. Just clipped to your keys, right there next to your front door and your car and your whole life. Ready before you are.

So we made one small enough to live on your keychain.

The KICKFRAME 1984 is a real camera — it shoots crisp photos and Full HD video — shrunk down until it fits on a keyring and disappears into a pocket. Pull it off the ring, hit the shutter, done. No phone. No signing in. No "hang on, let me get the good camera." Just you and the moment, the way it used to be.

Why 1984?

Because we're a little homesick for a time before every photo had to be perfect.

1984 was point-and-shoot. It was bold color and loud design and cameras that felt like objects — things you held, wound, clicked, and kept in a drawer full of prints. Nobody was chasing the algorithm. You just took the picture because the moment was worth keeping.

That's the spirit we stamped right onto the shell: retro geometry in red, orange, teal and navy, a big confident "1984," and a shape that looks like it fell out of a shoebox in your parents' attic. It's a design object that happens to take pictures — the kind of thing strangers pick up and ask about.

What we're really about

We're not trying to replace your phone or your fancy camera. We're here for the in-between moments — the road trip, the night out, the backstage chaos, the "you had to be there." The stuff that's too spontaneous and too silly to fumble for a phone, but too good to lose.

KICKFRAME is a little permission slip to be a bit more present, a bit more playful, and to catch the moment while it's happening — not after you've found the right app.
